We've had some cold, wintry days here in Ithaca this April, but here at Ancient Wisdom we have a little something to warm you up.

Yes, we are obviously talking about the Ithaca Directory. Specifically, the Directory was just redesigned and re-coded from the ground up! Doesn’t that make you feel warm and happy inside? It surely does for us.

The Ithaca Directory started almost four years ago as a collation of all things Ithaca. Businesses, restaurants, artists, blogs–if it’s on the web and it’s near Ithaca, New York, there’s a good chance it’s in the Directory. The site has grown a lot over the past four years and we now have over 1,000 listings with more added every day.

Some of the cool new features in the Ithaca Directory 2.0 are the ability to see random entries, integrated Google Maps for businesses, and Featured category listings which feature images and tons of extra information. As a nice tie-in, we added a feed from the Commons Cam on every page, so you never need to feel too far away. We've reorganized and recatagorized the Directory, so you can find what you're looking for more easily than ever before.  Plus, the whole site just looks much, much better than it used to.

And it has a blog! 

So check out the Ithaca Directory and take some time to browse around. If you notice that something is missing, some fantastic site that should be in the directory but is not, go ahead and submit a site to us. It will make you feel warm and happy inside.
