Back to Democracy is a grassroots progressive action group in Trumansburg, NY, which involves citizens in the democratic process, with aims of peace and social justice. A free public meeting is held monthly with a film or presentation, followed by suggestions for action emerging from the group discussion. The topics vary, arising from the urgent concerns of our time: promoting world peace � demilitarizing our schools � media reform � improving our election and educational systems � protecting our civil rights and the environment � and striving collectively towards more sustainable ways of life.
