Spotlight: Ithaca Coffee Company

Ithaca Coffee Company’s new location downtown (off the Commons at the intersection of State St. and Green St) drew me in for most of the month of July with their coupon in the Ithaca Journal for a free cup of one of their daily brews. Every day they offer a house blend and a specialty blend.
Since the coupon has expired, I have indulged in their tasty Frozen Mocha, a delectable frozen coffee beverage. This treat even convinced my non-coffee-loving friend to join me in my obsessive coffee-acquiring adventures. Make sure you get a large if you are going to be sharing!
The gourmet marketplace provides more than just coffee, with a selection of local produce, cheese, chocolate and numerous bottled beverages, including a quite expansive selection of local beers and microbrews.
I am often amused by the painted signs they put out along State Street. On my commute home, I am reminded with one word declarations, “Beer”, “Cheese”, “Local Produce”, and “Coffee” why I should stop in and visit the Ithaca Coffee Company! You should too!
